Support House Bill 4399/Senate Bill 268 to Protect Patients Choice of Provider
Today, more than 2.6 million Michiganders live without adequate access to health care. In fact, only 45% of the need for primary care is currently being met across the state.1
At the same time, current state law restricts patients’ full and direct access to Michigan’s 14,000 nurse practitioners (NPs).2 The overwhelming majority of patients want better access to NP care:
